About Us

Cooper Street Capital is a fully vertically integrated real estate platform. The life-cycle of each asset is managed in-house from acquisition to operations to sale. In-house experts are responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring the debt & equity, and closing each deal. With close oversight, the day-to-day operations are also carried out by the staff of CSC Management, a property management company wholly owned by Cooper Street Capital. Cooper Street Capital is motivated by opportunities to revamp, retrofit, or repurpose existing multifamily real estate assets. As a boutique real estate investment firm, Cooper Street Capital has the expertise to source opportunities from multiple markets and the flexibility to explore creative ways to structure and finance acquisitions that provide for sustainable and superior returns.

The value to our partners and investors comes not solely in the completion of any acquisition. In the years since its founding, the firm has come to understand how imperative it is to actively manage every asset. Without strict oversight and painstaking attention to detail, day in and day out, no real estate asset will ever reach its full potential.

The team at Cooper Street Capital is committed to sourcing real estate investment opportunities from across the U.S. that have demonstrated strong financial performance in the past or that exhibit the potential for gains in the future. In either case, an asset’s basis is tantamount, and potential acquisitions must be supported by market fundamentals.

Cooper Street Capital aims to minimize downside risk through targeted and individual acquisitions. These acquisitions can provide for stable cash flows or capture upside potential for investors through physical renovations, operational improvements, or both.

Brandon Cooper

Brandon has spearheaded the acquisition of over $1.5 billion worth of real estate assets since starting his own real estate investment firms twelve years ago. Prior to founding Cooper Street Capital, Brandon was the co-founder of two other real estate investment firms, Maroon Peak Partners and I-95 Ventures. Before his ventures in real estate, Brandon worked for Merrill Lynch and previous to that, The Center for Middle East Peace in Washington, D.C. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bates College and was on the division I cross country ski team.

Matt Cooper

Vice President // Director of Acquisitions

Prior to crossing over into the private sector and joining Cooper Street Capital in 2016, Matt spent several years in the policy making world, including time spent with the US Delegation to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France. With a background in economics and international trade, Matt’s research was primarily related to the international trade system and the economics of corporate governance frameworks. Though he is no longer using large data sets to assess changing trends in international trade, Matt has leveraged his analytical background to help CSC acquire over $1 billion of commercial real estate since joining. Matt also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French Language from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Science in the International Political Economy from the London School of Economics. He currently lives in New York City where he can be found running in the park with his dog, exploring quiet coffee shops, and escaping to the mountains to ski when he can.

Director of Finance

Tori joined Cooper Street Capital in December 2022, after working at several public accounting firms. She graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics. Tori grew up outside of Boston, MA before moving to Aspen, CO in 2018. When Tori isn’t working, you can find her skiing, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and taking advantage of all the Roaring Fork Valley has to offer.

Nick Eaton

Nick joined Cooper Street Capital in July 2020 after graduating from Bates College with a dual degree in Economics and Studio Art. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and is always interested in learning something new about business. Nick grew up outside of Boston and moved to Portland, OR with his family before heading back east for college. When he’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Nick fly fishing on one of the many local trout streams, whitewater rafting on the Colorado River, or taking runs on the mountain.

Zoe joined Cooper Street Capital in October of 2022. Zoe graduated from Florida State University in 2017 with a degree in Hospitality Management. She moved to Aspen shortly after to work in the luxury hotel industry. When the time came for a change, she found herself at Cooper Street Capital as The Head of HR. Zoe is passionate about making positive change for our employees and the company as a whole. When Zoe is not at work she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, skiing, and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities Aspen has to offer.

Born and raised in Hingham, MA Abbie has lived most of her life on the east coast. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in Hartford, CT Abbie moved to Boston where she worked as a paralegal and sales rep in the tech industry. Her love for the outdoors brought her out to Aspen in 2019 where she worked in the restaurant industry for four years. Since moving to Aspen Abbie has always been interested in the property management and real estate industries. When an opportunity arose to join the team at CSC Abbie was excited to make the jump in her career and is eager to learn more about the industry. In her free time you will find her skiing, mountain biking, running and hanging out with her dog Willow. Abbie also loves long walks on the beach and red wine.

Jeremy Rambo

Jeremy began his career with Cooper Street Capital in the fall of 2022 in the accounting department on the front lines of the firm’s asset management. After developing a tight grasp of the day’s operations on-site, he was transferred to the acquisition teams to assist in underwriting new potential projects and to drive the due diligence process during closing. Rambo graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa with a BSc Earth Science, but he was quickly drawn to the possibility of new adventures, like snow and skiing. He ended up in Aspen, CO first as a manager of a fine dining restaurant in town. In Rambo’s free time, you’ll find him out on the trails around Aspen, golfing, hiking, skiing or throwing a Braai (BBQ) for his friends.

Drake joined Cooper Street Capital in June of 2024. Drake is from Morristown, NJ and lived in New York City and Miami before deciding to move out west to Aspen in 2023. Drake graduated from Lehigh University in 2021 with dual degrees in Finance and Business Information Systems. Prior to joining the Cooper Street Capital team Drake was an accountant for luxury hotels in Aspen. Having always wanted to learn more about the Real Estate Acquisitions/ Private Equity industries this was the perfect career opportunity for Drake! While Drake is not at work you can find him golfing in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Sara joined Cooper Street Capital in June of 2024. She grew up in Albany, Oregon, until she moved to Oklahoma City for school. Sara graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration. In 2019, she moved to the mountains and worked in Medical and BPO Sales. Five years later, she became interested in Real Estate Acquisitions and decided to make a career change, ultimately leading her to Cooper Street Capital. While Sara is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her dog and friends outdoors, snowboarding, and doing Pilates.
