About Us

Cooper Street Capital is a vertically integrated private equity real estate company. We identify value-add and income-producing multifamily properties with growth potential in select cities. We manage the complete life-cycle of each asset in-house from acquisition, to operations, to sale. The day-to-day operations of each asset are carried out by CSC Management, a subsidiary property management company wholly owned by Cooper Street Capital.

Cooper Street Capital is motivated by opportunities to develop, retrofit or repurpose existing commercial real estate. As a boutique real estate investment firm, Cooper Street Capital has the expertise to source opportunities from multiple markets and the flexibility to explore creative ways to structure and finance acquisitions that provide for sustainable and superior returns.

The value to investors comes not solely in the completion of any acquisition. In the years since we began, we have come to understand how imperative it is to actively manage every asset. We believe that without strict oversight and painstaking attention to detail, no real estate asset will ever reach its full potential.

Cooper Street Capital aims to minimize downside risk through targeted acquisitions. These acquisitions provide for stable cash flows and seek to capture upside potential for investors through physical renovations and operational improvements.

Brandon Cooper

President // Managing Partner

Brandon has spearheaded the acquisition of over $500 million worth of real estate assets since starting his own real estate investment firms six years ago. Prior to founding Cooper Street Capital, Brandon was the co-founder of two other real estate investment firms, Maroon Peak Partners and I-95 Ventures. Before his ventures in real estate, Brandon worked for Merrill Lynch and previous to that, The Center for Middle East Peace in Washington, D.C. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bates College and was on the cross country skiing team.

Vice President // Director of Acquisitions

Prior to joining Cooper Street Capital, Matt worked with the US Delegation to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France. As an economist, Matt executed several large research projects related to the international trade system and the economics of corporate governance frameworks. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French Language from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Science in the International Political Economy from the London School of Economics. He currently lives in San Francisco where he can be found running marathons, exploring quiet coffee shops, and escaping to the mountains to foster his love of skiing.

Robert Fay

Director of Investor Relations

By leveraging his background in wealth management, investor relations, and equity research, Robert has built a track record of helping investors source suitable risk adjusted investments and growing their net worths. Most recently, Robert was Associate Director of Investor Relations at RealtyShares, where he managed a portfolio of over $250 million in client assets and helped grow the company’s client portfolio by 45%. At Cooper Street Capital, Robert is in charge of all Investor Relations. He graduated from the University of Colorado – Boulder with a dual degree in Economics and Psychology.

Danielle Cota

Danielle Cota

Director of Operations

Danielle is an accomplished multi-family professional who has dedicated her career to property management. Danielle began at full speed, working through college as a leasing agent. She went on to graduate from Kent State University in 2006, with a double major in communication and psychology.

Danielle’s people-first perspective and servant leadership has earned her opportunities as an Assistant Manager, Property Manager, Support Specialist, Training Director, to her current role as Operations Director.

Currently residing in Phoenix, AZ with her eight-year-old son, 18-year-old daughter, and husband of 10-years, Danielle is happiest spending time with her large extended family and close friends who live nearby.

With over 20-years’ experience, Danielle brings the value of commitment, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit to CSC, where she leads the company in all property operations including, acquisitions, dispositions, training, and people relations. Danielle is excited forward to her exciting future with the CSC team!

Charismatic, motivating, and determined…a few words to perfectly describe Jadit! Graduating from the University of New Mexico with a BA in Pre-Law with a minor in Business in 2005, Jadit hit the ground running in her career. For nearly 20 years, Jadit has made it her goal to learn every aspect of the Multifamily world. Working her way from Leasing Consultant, to Property Manager, and finally onto her current role as Regional Property Manager, Jadit is well versed in what each team member brings to a community. Jadit has a true passion for people and lives to lead by example. She enjoys welcoming new acquisitions to CSC by encouraging a team dynamic based on learning and communication. Jadit’s enthusiasm and love for life outside of her career is astounding as well. Born in the Dominican Republic, Jadit has been a resident of Albuquerque for over 20 years. It’s there in Albuquerque where she and her husband have built a beautiful life with their 17 year old son. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling the world. Jadit has been responsible for all general operations in CSC’s New Mexico & West Texas markets since 2019 and looks forward to many wonderful years to come!

Kayla Bouchard

Head of Hiring + HR

Kayla is originally from Portland, OR. Looking to move away from the rain, she went to the University of Arizona to earn a bachelor’s degree in Public Health. Preceding graduation, Kayla spent two years working at Stanford Healthcare’s Enterprise Contact Center where she handled all administrative tasks for 300+ employees. During her time at Stanford, she was able to work closely with HR personnel and thus her passion for Human Resources came to be. After working in Human Resources for a start up in Denver, Kayla was determined to move closer to the mountains while still growing her career in HR. This ultimately led her to Cooper Street Capital where she has become the Head of HR and Hiring. Kayla is a recent Aspen reside, who can’t wait to take advantage of all that Aspen has to offer. She loves to hike, ski and spend time outside with her husband and their dog.

Nick joined Cooper Street Capital in July 2020 after graduating from Bates College with a dual degree in Economics and Studio Art. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and is always interested in learning something new about business. Nick grew up outside of Boston and moved to Portland, OR with his family before heading back east for college. When he’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Nick fly fishing on one of the many local trout streams, whitewater rafting on the Colorado River, or taking runs on the mountain.

David joined CSC in 2020 after moving to Aspen from Dallas. Prior to that, he worked as an Accounting Manager doing rural economic and infrastructure development, and as a Government Auditor in Mexico. David has a degree in public accounting from Juarez University in Durango, Mexico. He is positive, and likes challenges and helping others. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, and biking with his family and dog.

Brian joins Cooper Street Capital with 10 years of Accounting experience.  Prior to joining the team, Brian started his own bookkeeping company, iBalance Pro Bookkeeping, in 2017 and was also at Valley View Hospital for 3 years before that.  He has Accounting experience from several different industries such as Hospitality, Restaurants, Healthcare, Homecare, and Real Estate. Brian grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and graduated with a BS Degree in Business Administration at Colorado Mountain College. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, playing basketball, and taking long hikes with his wife and son.

After graduating, he moved to Aspen and worked in the hospitality industry for two years. From there, Jeff took a job in Los Angeles with The Wonderful Company where he was part of a two year accounting and finance rotation program. He is excited to have moved back to Aspen and be working for CSC. In his free time, Jeff can be found enjoying all the outdoor activities Aspen has to offer.

Samantha was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She is overjoyed to have moved to Aspen fresh out of college so that she can stay close to her family and experience the mountain lifestyle. Sam graduated in 2021 from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate. She has a love for all things finance and was drawn to CSC so that she can work collaboratively with others–something that really energizes her in her work. In Sam’s free time she enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, and attending music festivals.

Hugo was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico and raised in Albuquerque. He has lived in ABQ since he was 4 years old so his love and knowledge of the communities shines through his work. Hugo began his career in Property Management in 2012 as a leasing agent and has worked his way up through every position: Leasing, Assistant Manager, Community Director, Assistant Regional Manager and now Regional Manager. Hugo began with CSC as a Community Director and proved his skill with tremendous results at Courtyards Apartments (232 units). His favorite parts of the industry are the opportunities to meet different people and working with his amazing teammates. He also loves to teach and influence others. Hugo is the proud father of two beautiful girls who are 6 and 2 years old. Outside of work Hugo loves to play soccer and basketball, and is also a chess player. Hugo’s smile is contagious and he is full of positive energy; he is known as a go-getter and someone who strives to be the best at everything he does.

Angela was raised in Peoria, AZ, where she still resides with her family. She loves the weather and on most weekends you will find her in her travel trailer near the water, fishing and enjoying the sunshine. Her stress reliever is cooking, listening to music or working on art projects.

She has been in Property Management for the past 6 years, where she has worked as a Leasing Specialist, Assistant Manager, Community Manager and Regional Support Specialist. She is very proud of earning achievement awards, such as Rookie Of the Year, Top Performance, and Online Presence. She truly believes that our communities should be a place that residents are proud to live in, and our teams are proud to work! She is dedicated to being the best support system possible to her communities and teams.

Shortly after graduating he joined our CSC Management team down in Houston, TX as a Leasing Consultant for three months. Here he worked on site learning about the industry from the ground level. He is excited to be back in the colorful state of Colorado. In his free time, Michael enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling.
